Sons of Silver Set To Release New Single & Music Video For “Who’s Gonna Stop Us”

Rockers Sons of Silver are gearing up for the release of a new EP. Word has just surfaced that they'll be releasing a new single and music video on February 4th. "Who's Gonna Stop Us" will be featured on the new EP Ordinary Sex Appeal set to be released later this year. In the meantime, they're paying tribute to a group that needs no introduction, The Band. Their cover of the classic "Life Is A Carnival" quickly racked out more than 100,000 views across YouTube and Facebook. We're big fans of The Band. Not only have they influenced us, directly, they’ve also been a major influence on many of our other heroes. Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and Neil Young; the list could go on and on. We wanted to pay a humble tribute on the 50th anniversary of Cahoots with our cover of "Life Is A Car...

WØLFDARLING Releases Introspective New Single “send the sun my way”

Dynamic alt-rockers WØLFDARLING has returned with an introspective new song. "send the sun my way" is out now. Frontman Sam Urich had this to say when asked about the song. "I was experiencing what it is like to be afflicted by a mental illness. The song is strangely optimistic because regardless of how low I sink, I will always have some flicker of hope." Brothers Sam and Jack Urich play guitar and bass respectively with Jason Hartless contributing his efforts on drums. "send the sun my way" was produced by Chuck Alkazian. He's known for his work with Pop Evil and Tantric at Pearl Sound Studios in Michigan. A Love Letter To The Sun Essentially, the song is a love letter to the sun. A mantra, a prayer, for this agony to be scared away by the dawning of the sun. A sun that sh...

Eddie Vedder Confronts Loss On Heartfelt New Single “Brother The Cloud”

Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder is set to release a new solo album in February and his latest single tackles a very difficult subject, the loss of a loved one. In this case, he has experienced multiple tragedies in recent years. The unexpected death of his half-brother Chris in 2017 affected him deeply. That, in addition to the loss of Cornell a year later as discussed in a 2020 Howard Stern interview has left him reeling. Vedder's new album Earthlings drops on February 11. Not only does the album feature a number of legends, the band he's taking on the road features some familiar characters. Billboard reports collaborations with the likes of Elton John, Stevie Wonder, and Ringo Starr can be expected. https://twitter.com/PearlJam/status/1482052688368087052 On Tour The live band sup...

Hikikomori by Nick Neutronz: a Poignant Digital Soundscape for a Future None of Us Imagined.

Welcome to the year 2022. We made it. It's the future. The 2020s--the roaring 20's 2.0: flying cars edition. Or something... Well, it's not the future any of us saw coming--except, perhaps, for Nick Neutronz, through his dark & enchanting track, "Hikikomori". First released on Audius on January 4th, the track is now available for streaming everywhere. "Hikikomori" is more than just a New Year's single: it is a journey into another world, one that eerily mirrors our own. "In February of 2019 I did a dive into "Hikikomori". A year and some change later, and we were all driven inside with no sense of when we'd be outside again. This track was a fantasy, a future urban landscape where all of us were stuck to our screen, where the outside world was a hostile hustle of scarcit...

Blues Rocker Katie Henry Set To Release New Album On My Way

New Jersey-based singer/songwriter Katie Henry will be releasing her new blues album this month. On My Way is set to be released on January 28th on Ruf Records. The highly anticipated album is a follow-up to her critically acclaimed 2018 debut release High Road. Having been compared to Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin at their most magnetic, the future is bright for Katie. On My Way is a very personal album that was recorded in May of last year in Brooklyn, New York's Degraw Sound. Produced by guitarist Ben Rice, the project also features Antar Goodwin (bass/slide guitar), Kurt Thum (piano/organ), Greg Wieczorek (drums/percussion) along with British harpist Giles Robson. Dashboard Confessional Debut Introspective “Here’s To Moving On” Music Video

Dashboard Confessional's Chris Carrabba suffered life threatening injuries in a motorcycle accident in 2020. The new music video from the band gives fans a peek into his recovery. "Here's To Moving On" chronicles a show day and starts with Carrabba in bed stretching his still sore shoulder as he gets out of bed. From there he strums the guitar and sings as he looks over get well cards as he sits on the couch. He proceeds to walk into the garage and examine the clothes and helmet he was wearing at the time of the accident. The track is quintessential Dashboard, Carrabba at his best. All The Truth That I Can Tell is set for release on February 25th and is available for pre-order now. You can choose your preferred music service here. Dashboard Confessional initially started in ...

Vol 2: "cellophane" by King Leer & "Petrichor (Stripped)" by Cassyette I don't know about you, but this time of year always makes me feel a bit blue. Whether it's the cold weather, overcast skies, or stubborn seasonal affective disorder--something about this time of year is just heavy. Let's dive in. Retrograde is Over, but You’re Still Feeling Emo? Redhook & First and Forever Got You Covered.

Welcome to Ambur's Release Radar's Greatest Hits: Vol 1! Today, I would like to thank Spotify's "Release Radar" for bringing two singles to my attention: "Sentimental Surgery" by Redhook & "Sick Little Games" by First and Forever. It always warms my inner emo kid's heart when Spotify introduces me to new music that's reminiscent of the tunes I listened to when I was growing up. Since I was a teenager in the 2000's-2010's, that means bands like My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Mayday Parade, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, The Used, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus... You get the idea. If you're like me, and emo really wasn't "a phase, Mom!", then you're going to want keep reading--and to check out these new singles from Redhook & First and Forever. Redhook & "Sentim...

Jack White is back with a brand new single and it happens to be featured in the trailer for the new Call of Duty video game. White, no stranger to pushing the envelope, has decided to release two different versions of the song. According to a press release at the Third Man Records site, "Taking Me Back" was recorded in Nashville at Third Man Studios. To date, White has built up quite a resume. He's a 12-time GRAMMY® Award-winner and 36-time nominee. All three of his solo albums – 2012’s BLUNDERBUSS, 2014’s LAZARETTO, and 2018’s BOARDING HOUSE REACH debuted at #1 on the Billboard (Soundscan) chart. ...
