Foo Fighters Announce Intention To Carry On

Foo Fighters Carrying On The Foo Fighters family dealt with unimaginable tragedy in 2022 with the loss of drummer Taylor Hawkins. Obvious questions in regard to the future of the band were on our minds but not asked out loud out of respect. The band posted to their social media channels on New Year's Eve a note of reflection. Reminding us all the band formed 27 years ago to 'represent the healing power of music'. Frontman Dave Grohl started the project in the wake of Kurt Cobain's passing. The note continues, 'without Taylor, we know that we're going to be a different band going forward'. Questions remain as to who will fill the large shoes left behind by Hawkins. Despite going to the theater less than ever, I saw over 120 new release films in 2022. When it comes to the modern theatrical experience, I'm reminded of 'A Tale of Two Cities' when Dickens wrote “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times." There are more opportunities than ever for premium moviegoing experiences with multiplexes adding IMAX and Dolby Cinemas across the country, but for the most part, the chain theaters are abysmal at technical presentation. Hell, many theaters aren't even screening movies on the proper sized screens. The upcoming project by the Italian alt-rockers is set to be released on January 20th and features a total of 17 tracks.
