Nick Neutronz Experiments With Two-Sided Single, ‘IDRIVE // AASMR’

Legendary underground music producer, Nick Neutronz, is back at it again with his newest release, a two-sided experiment, IDRIVE // AASMR. Drawing influence from both phonk and wave this time, Neutronz created something that's dark, sexy, and even a bit magical. Don't miss out. Stream IDRIVE // AASMR by Nick Neutronz on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/1F89Q2prvnAzlM66c979Zx?si=_9aRJ3ypQcOk4FnEU-INHg This new single sees Nick Neutronz putting a fresh spin on two different genres within one release. The A-side, "IDRIVE," channels more of a groovy, nostalgic phonk sound, whereas the B-side, "AASMR," leans more wavy and melodic. While you can notice the shift from one song into the next, the two songs do end up blending together into one well-curated piece, if y...

National Library Week: A Celebration of Books Through Music

It’s National Library Week here in the United States, and this year’s theme is “There’s More to the Story.” This is definitely fitting (for our purposes, at least), especially given the fact that this article is not only about libraries themselves... but also about music related to stories or literature in some way. Before we get to all that, we need to set the record straight: libraries are awesome. While COVID may have had a tremendous impact on library systems due to closures and low foot traffic, and many people consider libraries to be ‘dead’... They aren't. But they do need your help. And honestly, you probably need your library more than you think, too. "What do I need a library for? I have my cellphone/the Internet/whatever." Listen—I get it. I love my han...

A New Voice in Wave: A Chat with BerserkerCrux on “The Blood”, UFO.Wave Collective, & More

"Wave is a dynamic community full of inspiration... Wave is a Movement. Wave is going somewhere." -BerserkerCrux The UFO.Wave music collective is one of those groups that kind of popped up out of nowhere, right? They first caught our eye with their inaugural mixtape back in January and have kept our attention ever since. It seems like all sorts of new talent in the scene is flocking to the group, too. New additions to the Collective include a name that is likely familiar to you if you've been in online wave spaces lately: BerserkerCrux, who actually just put out his first track, "The Blood", via UFO.Wave Records. Nick Neutronz Gives Us Some Perspective in “The Changes”

In case you missed it, Nick Neutronz is 'back on his bullshit', as the kids say. He released "The Changes" earlier this month, and quite frankly, it changed me. Nick Neutronz is someone we all really need to keep a better eye on--because when Nick puts out new music, we can never know what to expect. In the best possible way. Let's look at some examples from 2022: in December, he put out this dark, moody, lights-down-low-at-the-club type banger of a collab with lonewulf, "Pyrex". Yet, in June, Nick dropped this little high-tempo, all-encompassing, like-an-emotional-plea-but-could-still-probably-end-up-on-the-radio track called "Surrender". But, let's not forget how he started the year off, either--with "Hikikomori". Alessio Anesi of FUXWITHIT describes that song best: it's...
