Kid Bookie Delivers Mind-Melting New Song, “AI (Save Yourself)”

If there's one set from SXSW 2023 that we are still thinking about, it's Kid Bookie's. No, we're not talking about either of the official Marshall-curated showcases that he was apart of. Album Review: Green Lung – ‘This Heathen Land’

Since their inception in 2017, London-based heavy metal quintet Green Lung have grown from a tiny underground band to a cult favorite and recent signee with one of the genre's most beloved labels, Nuclear Blast Records. Through their journey, they have gained some serious love from the heavy metal community, and that trend looks to continue with their third full-length release, This Heathen Land. Green Lung is likely to land on a lot of black t-shirt wearers' "Best of 2023" lists with their winning formula of tight, massive composition, excellent production, and their unique take on heavy metal's lyrical conventions. Occult Following A metal band using pagan religious imagery in their lyrics is not new, but it's the specific themes Green Lung draws inspiration from that make their wr...

Asinhell (ft. Volbeat Frontman) Share “Desert of Doom” Video

The frontman of legendary Danish rock band, Volbeat, has unleashed a new death metal project: Asinhell. For example, the band's newest single, "Desert of Doom", was inspired by Bolt Thrower, Death, Entombed, and Motörhead. Check out the music video for "Desert of Doom", below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTKqYZN0Uno Video directed by Shan Dan Horan. "Bang your head 'til it doesn't bang no more!" Exclusive Look: Dead By Wednesday’s Lego-Themed ‘Mars in Exile’ Music Video

Photo Credit: Jeremy Saffer Dead By Wednesday caught our attention recently with the release of their new animated stop-motion music video for the single "Mars in Exile." The story and concept for the music video were inspired by the drummer's 8-year-old son, Orion St. Lawrence. He put his creative talents to use by designing the building brick band characters and shooting some of the footage. The video was directed by Sal DelGreco, who also performed all of the voice acting with Paul Stamper perfecting the animation. During the guitar solo, footage shot by St. Lawrence was projected onto the screens. The single is taken from the band's latest album "Capital Conspiracy," which was released last summer, and is available in stores and online music platforms. Getting To Know Dead By...
