The Von Tramps Drop Infectious New Single & Album Called GO

The Von Tramps is an up-and-coming punk rock band formed out of Minneapolis. One doesn't often immediately associate punk rock with the Twin Cities. But if The Von Tramps have their way, that could all change. After 2018s successful debut album The Future is Female and the follow-up EP Sun's Out: Strung Out!, they've come roaring back with 12 high-energy tracks on GO. The Von Tramps pack a real punch on this new concept album. Jenna Enemy's powerful vocals are complimented by Chelsea Oxborough's guitar playing and pounding bass from Krissandra Anfinson. We find ourselves gravitating to the title track and we're hearing hints of early No Doubt on "Your House". So ...

12 Rock Videos On YouTube With More Than 1 Billion Views

Evanescence is the latest band to achieve a once-unthinkable milestone. "Bring Me To Live" has crossed the one billion view mark on YouTube. And we'd be lying if we said we weren't responsible for at least 267 of those views over the last few years. Here's a deeper dive where we take a look at 12 rock videos on YouTube that have been viewed more than a billion times. Sure bands like Bon Jovi and AC/DC have hit the mark but that's to be expected. Pop stars? Sure, a lot of them have more than a billion. And of course, in researching for this article we came across the fact that the first act to achieve this accomplishment was Psy with the phenomenon "Gangnam Style" (yes we can do the dance still). So congrats to Amy Lee and company from Evanescence, you've entered into a pretty e...

Pop-Punk Band 408 Pays Tribute To Mark Hoppus On Catchy New Single

Orlando's 408 has just dropped a new single that's making some waves. The song is a tribute to Blink 182's legendary bassist "Mark Hoppus" and the accompanying music video will put a smile on your face. 408 teamed up with Kellin Quinn from Sleeping With Sirens and Joshua Roberts from Magnolia Park to pay tribute to an artist that's had a huge impact on their lives. The goal was to record a genre mashup that stayed true to themselves while paving new ground. The resulting collaboration combines elements of Juice WRLD style trap with pop-punk vibes and they've succeeded in creating something unique. To the point that they've gotten the attention of Mark Hoppus himself as evidenced by this tweet by the man himself. https://twitter.com/markhoppus/status/1507059696577875969 Now...

Retrograde is Over, but You’re Still Feeling Emo? Redhook & First and Forever Got You Covered.

Welcome to Ambur's Release Radar's Greatest Hits: Vol 1! Today, I would like to thank Spotify's "Release Radar" for bringing two singles to my attention: "Sentimental Surgery" by Redhook & "Sick Little Games" by First and Forever. It always warms my inner emo kid's heart when Spotify introduces me to new music that's reminiscent of the tunes I listened to when I was growing up. Since I was a teenager in the 2000's-2010's, that means bands like My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Mayday Parade, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, The Used, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus... You get the idea. If you're like me, and emo really wasn't "a phase, Mom!", then you're going to want keep reading--and to check out these new singles from Redhook & First and Forever. Redhook & "Sentim...

Saint Slumber Released an Off-Beat, Alt Pop New Single, “freak!” ft. 100+ of Their Fans

Saint Slumber has always been in a category of their own. They have a special blend of alternative rock and dark, electronic pop that I have never heard anywhere else. They're always doing something new that surprises me and this new single, "freak!", is no different. Blending over 100 fan voices into a choir for the track, Saint Slumber's latest release is more than a song: it's a force to be reckoned with. ICYMI: Alt Rock Band THE HARA Dropped a Cinematic New Single, “Fool & The Thief”

THE HARA has a new single out and it is definitely one of my favorite August rock releases.... Emotionally-charged, high energy, and perfect for screaming along to--"Fool & The Thief" is everything I love about rock music. Check it out on Youtube below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-zOCetYwUk Released on August 20th through Scruff of the Neck Records, "Fool & The Thief" by THE HARA is somehow both contemplative and a call to action. It is perfectly cinematic in that way. The song builds on itself organically, layering in beautifully-blended instrumentals and powerfully-delivered vocals throughout. By the end of my first listen, I was awed by the sheer power and beauty of it. Clearly, I had to listen again... and again... and then send it to everyone I know. Befo...

Junket Release Follow-up Single ‘Embers To Ashes’

New York-based alt-rockers Junket has just launched a smoldering follow-up single in the form of 'Embers To Ashes' from their new Make Waves EP. The track comes on the heels of the successful 'Red Handed' release, a song inspired by the popular SHOWTIME show 'Dexter'. Junket is made up of vocalist Chris Wicher, guitarist Michael Miller, bassist Kyle Hallenbeck, and drummer Chad Babcock. All hailing from Orange County, New York the band is a tight-knit group. According to a recent press release, Wicher states the song is '...about a relationship between two people who have an irrational fear of being alone but stay together despite all the reasons why they shouldn’t. The relationship may have started out strong like a roaring fire, but the honeymoon phase fizzled. Junket was abl...
