My dear readers, it's time for me be completely honest with you: It's a bit embarrassing to admit this, but when it came to International Women's Month, I froze. I thought I'd be able to put together a piece celebrating women & femmes in music in no time, but here we are. In May. Don't get me wrong--I immediately had an idea as to who I wanted to write about. Ghost Woman's "Clockwork" single is a refreshing new song that taps into something special. The project is the brainchild of talented multi-instrumentalist Evan Uschenko. AWOLNATION Tour Announced, Covers Album Drops Friday

AWOLNATION is hitting the road and tickets go on sale Friday. Not-so-coincidentally, the highly anticipated covers and compilation album will be released the same day. My Echo, My Shadow, My Covers and Me features appearances by Beck, Jewel, Brandon Boyd (Incubus), Taylor Hanson (yes, that Hanson), and many others. If you've been anxiously awaiting a tour announcement from Judah & The Lion, that wait is over. An extensive run of shows has been announced in support of their new studio album Revival. The tour kicks off September 8th at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City, Missouri and wraps up at the end of October in The Twin Cities at First Avenue. Pop-Punk Band 408 Pays Tribute To Mark Hoppus On Catchy New Single

Orlando's 408 has just dropped a new single that's making some waves. The song is a tribute to Blink 182's legendary bassist "Mark Hoppus" and the accompanying music video will put a smile on your face. 408 teamed up with Kellin Quinn from Sleeping With Sirens and Joshua Roberts from Magnolia Park to pay tribute to an artist that's had a huge impact on their lives. The goal was to record a genre mashup that stayed true to themselves while paving new ground.
