Time to Get Spooky with The Frst: stream “Scary Movie (ft. Ryan Prewett)”, out now!

There might be 291 days until Halloween, but we can never celebrate too early! This is something The Frst seems to agree with, given the content of their first single of 2023, "Scary Movie". It's perfectly timed, too, given the fact that the song dropped today--on Friday the Thirteenth. Oooh, how spooky. Stream the quirky genre-defiant indie rock bop on Spotify, below, and read on to find out a little more about the true story that inspired the horror-adjacent track. "Scary Movie" by The Frst on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/track/43ervLPvf2bymfHC3q2SZA?si=e76587efa27b42a3 "Scary Movie" by The Frst isn't so scary... The band describes this new single, which is a collaboration with keyboardist Ryan Prewett, as "an ode to scary teen movies, but wit...

Breaking Waves: Pantheon 2022, vol. 3. [Post-Pantheon Ponderings]

It’s absurd to me that Pantheon 2022 is already four weeks behind us. Between the holidays and the “Pantheon flu” so many of us ended up with, I suppose it makes sense that a month seemed to just blow by… but still!  Where did the time go?  Even now, there are some mornings, in those brief moments between sleep and consciousness, that I still dream that I’m going to wake up in Seattle– about to embark on what was a life-changing journey alongside so many members of the wave music community.  I don’t write that with hyperbole– Pantheon 2022 was genuinely a life-changing event for me.  This “Breaking Waves” entry is the first of many to explore life post-Pantheon 2022. This entry specifically contains my own musings about the experience, now that the festival ...

ICYMI: Alt Rock Band Autopilot Dropped a New Video For Their Energetic Single, “Feverish Dreams”.

Today, Canadian alt-rockers Autopilot surprised us with a cool new video for their latest single, "Feverish Dreams". The band is currently on tour in North America, but their busy schedule certainly isn't getting in the way of their creativity! Check the video out on YouTube, below. Autopilot's "Feverish Dreams" official music video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8K3tHkPCnNU While the single was originally released back in October, it's always a treat to see continued support and media coming out for a song after it drops.
