Black Note Graffiti Set To Release New Music Video For ‘Knights’

Black Note Graffiti fuses prog metal with alternative rock vibes. They're set to drop a brand new music video for their hard driving single 'Knights'. The Ann Arbor, MI quartet will unveil the project on June 18. The track is featured on their new EP Volume III Rise. The band consists of Gabrielle Bryant (vocals/keys), Kris Keller (guitar/vocals), Kurt Keller (drums), Ricardo Ortiz (vocals/guitar) and Adam Nine (bass). Bryant was behind the concept for the video. Knights addresses the need for change in a systematically oppressive society through empathy and progressive change. Gabrielle Bryant illustrates this via our history of violence and the radical changes that were necessary to be in a better place than we were, as well as address the fact that we still have so far to go stil...

Muse Celebrating 20th Anniversary of Origin of Symmetry Album With Remixx Edition

Hard to believe it's been 20 years. Experimental alt/rockers Muse are set to reflect upon the success of their sophomore album release Origin of Symmetry. The new XX Anniversary Remixx Edition will be released on June 18. The album originally topped the charts in the UK in July of 2001 but wasn't available in the United States until four years later due to some issues with the record label. By then US fans were wrapping their heads around songs from the Absolution album which included break-out singles 'Time Is Running Out' and 'Hysteria'. So while a success across the pond and appreciated by fans, the album never got a proper spotlight in the states. Muse's Matt Bellamy, Dominic Howard and Chris Wolstenholme are celebrating their 27th year as a band. They've got two Grammy's and a...

Apple TV+ Premieres “1971” Series on Friday (Review)

A phenomenal new docuseries entitled "1971: The Year That Music Changed Everything" is premiering on AppleTV+ this Friday, May 21. Using David Hepworth's book "Never A Dull Moment: 1971 The Year That Rock Exploded" as inspiration, an award-winning team of filmmakers has crafted a highly bingeable eight-part series that intertwines the music and politics of this volatile and highly creative moment in history. I've been able to preview the first five episodes of the series, which was executive produced by Asif Kapadia and James Gay-Rees ("Amy," "Senna") and really wanted to put this on people's radar because even as a music lover since childhood, this was absolutely packed with footage and stories I had never seen before. Each episode hovers between 45 and 50 minutes, but manages t...
