Stubhub Agrees To Millions In Refunds For Canceled Concerts But Here’s Why Not Everyone Is Getting Their Money Back

The popular ticket reselling site Stubhub was in a little bit of a pickle when the pandemic sent in. Thousands of fans were all asking for refunds at the same time due to all of the canceled concerts and events. Pre-pandemic, StubHub had a blanket policy to refund people's money if their events were canceled as part of their "FanProtect Guarantee". However, as things started shutting down and getting canceled they changed their policy to eliminate refunds to instead offer credits equal to 120% of their initial purchase without informing customers. A number of frustrated music and sports fans ended up complaining to their respective State Attorney General's Office. The expected refunds weren't showing up back up in the respective bank accounts. Slap on the wrist? Instead of a ...

Sueco Drops New Single, Goes Viral With “Paralyzed”

Sueco is already a gold-certified artist with the Recording Industry Association of America. He's topped 500 million streams globally and boasts millions of followers on social media led by the 5.6 million people on his Tik Tok account. But it feels like he's only just begun to tap into his potential. Up until now, he's earned respect in the hip-hop genre but "Paralyzed" hits different. The song does begin with a hip-hop cadence but quickly kicks in with an early 2000s hardcore/screamo vibe but with a modern-day sensibility. Tik Tok #FYP Travis & Sueco I first stumbled on Sueco late one-night scrolling through Tik Tok. I'd heard songs of his before but didn't necessarily know it was him. He does deserve credit for creatively promoting the release of the new single through...

St. Vincent Checks in to “The Nowhere Inn” (Review)

The evolution of Annie Clark as a musician has been pretty incredible to watch over the years. From the quieter introspection of her 2007 debut album "Marry Me" to the full-on glam rock persona she has taken on more recently, she has become an award-winning artist recording as St. Vincent. Despite the acclaim and a rabid fan base, she isn't exactly a household name. That's where the fun begins in "The Nowhere Inn," a film that begins with Clark in the back of a limousine. The driver rolls down the window to make sure she knows that he's never heard of her and then calls his son and puts him on speakerphone to make sure it's clear that they don't really believe she's famous because they've never heard of her. Director Bill Benz ("Portlandia") helps bring this wild mockumentary to lif...
