Nashville-based, New Zealand-born, Jackie Bristow is set to take the country music world by storm. Her new single "Livin' For Love" is out now and sets the table nicely for the release of her new album. Outsider is Bristow's fifth studio album and is due out in March. We recently had a chance to catch up with the talented singer/songwriter. Be sure to check out the interview (and music video) below. We'll get into some of the challenges of filming a music video while on lockdown. Plus we have more info on which popular HBO show you may have recently heard one of her older songs. When COVID arrived in March of 2020, while visiting family in New Zealand, Bristow was unable to return to the United States. Jack White Debuts Heartfelt New Single & Music Video For “Love Is Selfish”

Jack White is as versatile as they come. One minute loud and raucous, the next quiet and introspective. He's set to have a productive year with two solo albums slated for release in 2022. After coming out hard with the first single "Taking Me Back" from his new album Fear of the Dawn (due in April), "Love Is Selfish" puts his softer side on display. The latter of which will be featured on his planned summer release, Entering Heaven Alive. This is the kind of material I'm looking for from White. Sure he's most often at his best with loud distorted guitars but he's got a softer side. 'Love Is Selfish' is just him and his guitar with some light percussion in the background to help keep the train on the tracks. You can check it out below after its debut or on your favorite streaming platf...

Growing up, the Bacon Brothers were drawn to music having been raised on a steady diet of the Beatles, Rolling Stones and Motown classics. They've since spent the last 20 years as a band, releasing 10 studio albums and performing hundre...

Americana Duo The HawtThorns to Release Tarot Cards & Shooting Stars February 25th

The new year is shaping up nicely for new music releases and on February 25th we can expect a new album from husband/wife Americana duo The HawThorns. The album, Tarot Cards & Shooting Stars is set to drop on Mule Kick Records. When you combine the lush vocal harmonies, sun-kissed songwriting, and versatile guitar work of K.P. and Johnny Hawthorn, the result is something special. Spending time in both Nashville and Los Angeles to record the album, it also serves as a nod to both sides of the group's geographic and musical roots. K.P and Johnny came together to form The HawThornes with accomplished careers of their own already under their belt. K.P., a nationally tour artist with CALICO and her own solo work, and Hawthorn, a multi-instrumentalist who'd shared the stage with the ...

Jack White Releases Two Dramatically Different Versions of New Single “Taking Me Back”

Jack White is back with a brand new single and it happens to be featured in the trailer for the new Call of Duty video game. White, no stranger to pushing the envelope, has decided to release two different versions of the song. According to a press release at the Third Man Records site, "Taking Me Back" was recorded in Nashville at Third Man Studios. White can be heard singing and playing each of the instruments on the track (not at the same time, obviously). The release is White's first new material to be released in four years. To date, White has built up quite a resume. He's a 12-time GRAMMY® Award-winner and 36-time nominee. All three of his solo albums – 2012’s BLUNDERBUSS, 2014’s LAZARETTO, and 2018’s BOARDING HOUSE REACH debuted at #1 on the Billboard (Soundscan) chart....
