Sons of Silver Set To Release New Single & Music Video For “Who’s Gonna Stop Us”

Rockers Sons of Silver are gearing up for the release of a new EP. Word has just surfaced that they'll be releasing a new single and music video on February 4th. "Who's Gonna Stop Us" will be featured on the new EP Ordinary Sex Appeal set to be released later this year. In the meantime, they're paying tribute to a group that needs no introduction, The Band. Their cover of the classic "Life Is A Carnival" quickly racked out more than 100,000 views across YouTube and Facebook. We're big fans of The Band. Dynamic alt-rockers WØLFDARLING has returned with an introspective new song. "send the sun my way" is out now. Frontman Sam Urich had this to say when asked about the song. "I was experiencing what it is like to be afflicted by a mental illness. The song is strangely optimistic because regardless of how low I sink, I will always have some flicker of hope." The inaugural When We Were Young Festival is officially sold out. The ensuing fan reaction to the lineup announcement nearly broke the internet. The list of bands is every emo-kid dream and will draw thousands to Las Vegas for the event in October. Tickets started at $224 for the series of shows and the price didn't seem to really matter much. Jack White is as versatile as they come. One minute loud and raucous, the next quiet and introspective. He's set to have a productive year with two solo albums slated for release in 2022. After coming out hard with the first single "Taking Me Back" from his new album Fear of the Dawn (due in April), "Love Is Selfish" puts his softer side on display. The latter of which will be featured on his planned summer release, Entering Heaven Alive. This is the kind of material I'm looking for from White. Sure he's most often at his best with loud distorted guitars but he's got a softer side. Blues Rocker Katie Henry Set To Release New Album On My Way

New Jersey-based singer/songwriter Katie Henry will be releasing her new blues album this month. On My Way is set to be released on January 28th on Ruf Records. The highly anticipated album is a follow-up to her critically acclaimed 2018 debut release High Road. Having been compared to Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin at their most magnetic, the future is bright for Katie. On My Way is a very personal album that was recorded in May of last year in Brooklyn, New York's Degraw Sound. Produced by guitarist Ben Rice, the project also features Antar Goodwin (bass/slide guitar), Kurt Thum (piano/organ), Greg Wieczorek (drums/percussion) along with British harpist Giles Robson. A tribute to the legendary David Bowie, organized by a longtime collaborator, will take place on Saturday on what would have been his 75th birthday. A Bowie Celebration will mark the sixth anniversary of the icon's passing and is the second year in a row a live stream tribute is planned. According to a recent press release, performing alongside his alumni band, the lineup includes the likes of Noah Gallagher of Oasis, Def Leppard singer Joe Elliot, Duran Duran's Simon Le Bon, and a host of others.
