2023 is shaping up to be a great year for new music. Here’s a sneak preview of seven albums that should be on your radar in the new year.
1. MÅNESKIN – RUSH!
Release Date: January 20th
RUSH! is the third studio album from Italian alt-rockers MÅNESKIN and is their first new music since 2021s Teatro D’ira: Vol. I. Check out their new song “The Loneliest”.

2. You Me At Six – Truth Decay
Release Date: January 27th
You Me At Six got our attention earlier this year with the release of “No Future? Yeah Right“. Truth Decay is the band’s eighth studio album and first since 2021s SUCKAPUNCH. Check out their latest single “Mixed Emotions” and the accompanying (expanded) music video.

3. Paramore – This Is Why
Release Date: February 10th

4. Gorillaz – Cracker Island
Release Date: February 24th
This is the eighth studio album from the popular animated band founded by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett. Expect guest appearances from artists like Stevie Nicks, Adeleye Omotayo Beck, and Bad Bunny. The latest single “New Gold” features Tame Impala and Bootie Brown (The Pharcyde).

5. Metallica – 72 Seasons
Release Date: April 14th
The new single “Lux Æternal” is three minutes and thirty seconds of hard-hitting rock and roll that is quintessential Metallica. 72 Seasons is the band’s twelfth studio album and first since 2016s Hardwired.Artist links: Website, Instagram & Twitter
6. Smashing Pumpkins – Atum
Release Date: April 21st
The new 33-song album Atum (pronounced autumn) from the Smashing Pumpkins is a rock opera. It’s being billed as a sequel to 1995s epic Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.Artist links: Website, Instagram & Twitter
7. Blink 182 – TBD
Release Date: April 21st
We don’t have the official release date but we know an album is coming. Tom DeLonge is back in Blink 182 and 2023 and 2024 promise to be big years of touring for the punk rock trio. Along with a slew of concerts, we’re getting that new record at some point and the first single “Edging” is out now.
