Psychedelia Meets Modern Production on ‘Tragicomedy’

Waldo Witt's upcoming album, "Long Daze, Dark Nights," is a tribute to the psychedelia of the 60s and 70s. His new single "Tragicomedy" is available now. The project includes elements of 80s soft rock and disco and leans on influences from artists such as Todd Rundgren and King Crimson. Despite its nostalgic style, the new material is not solely focused on the past. Keep your eye out for fresh and vibrant hooks and structural twists. The album isn't just about looking back, though. It deals with themes of uncertainty, instability, and unpredictability that feel all too relevant in today's world. Story Behind The Music Waldo and his wife hit the road during the pandemic. Foo Fighters Announce Intention To Carry On

Foo Fighters Carrying On The Foo Fighters family dealt with unimaginable tragedy in 2022 with the loss of drummer Taylor Hawkins. Obvious questions in regard to the future of the band were on our minds but not asked out loud out of respect. The band posted to their social media channels on New Year's Eve a note of reflection. Reminding us all the band formed 27 years ago to 'represent the healing power of music'. Frontman Dave Grohl started the project in the wake of Kurt Cobain's passing. The note continues, 'without Taylor, we know that we're going to be a different band going forward'. Questions remain as to who will fill the large shoes left behind by Hawkins. We won't offer any speculation other than to question whether it could be one of the talented drummers who perform...

This entry specifically contains my own musings about the experience, now that the festival...
