Timely Sci-Fi Thriller ‘The Creator’ is a Visual Marvel (Review)

'The Creator' is set in the not-so-distant future. In 2070, humans are at war with artificial intelligence. Director Gareth Edwards has a knack for crafting inventive sci-fi thrillers that look far more expensive than their actual budgets. In 2010, he made a film called 'Monsters' that was made for under $500,000 using consumer-grade software and edited on a laptop. It didn't make a lot of money at the box office, but managed to get the attention of Hollywood. It led to him rebooting the Godzilla franchise in 2014 and helming 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' in 2016. Kid Bookie Delivers Mind-Melting New Song, “AI (Save Yourself)”

If there's one set from SXSW 2023 that we are still thinking about, it's Kid Bookie's. No, we're not talking about either of the official Marshall-curated showcases that he was apart of. Instead, we had the opportunity to witness Kid Bookie play a daytime set on the patio of JNL Barbeque, a two-mile walk from downtown Austin... and trust us when we say that it was worth every sweaty step. Eight months later, we've been blessed yet again by Kid Bookie--except, this time, it's in the form of a new single, "AI (Save Yourself)," fresh off his upcoming album, Songs for the Living // Songs for the Dead. The artist also issued an action-packed new music video to commemorate the release. Keep reading if you want to know why we're so excited about all this... But first! Check out the mu...

An Artist with a Boundless Vision: NOANNE on debut single “Goodwill”, AI-assisted creative process, and more [exclusive interview]

The use of Artificial Intelligence in the arts is something that’s been heavily discussed online; that’s not news. If you’ve spent any time on Twitter in the last several months, you may have gotten lost in the “should/n’t” of it all—in visual arts, in publishing, in education, in music, in film, you name it. You may even remember the AI-related aspects of the SAG-AFTRA strikes, the results of which are believed to set a precedent for other industries moving forward. However, like with all hot topics on social media, we feel it’s important to dive into the details and have conversations about a topic in order to fully understand it. This belief led to us connecting with NOANNE, a Prague-based artistic multi-hyphenate who is able to “[shed] the veil of self-consciousness and [step] into th...
