The summer is just about upon us. Nothing beats rolling the windows down and turning up your favorite new music. Here’s a look at five new June album releases that should be considered.
We’ve got a few honorable mentions included below, make sure to let us know in the comments section if we’re missing anything you’re excited about.
1. Sub Urban Hive
Release Date: 6/3
Sub Urban has released a string of successful singles and an EP in recent years. He’s accumulated more than a billion streams and millions of YouTube views. Now the time comes for the release of his debut album Hive. The release of the lead single “Uh Oh!” featuring Benee made some waves with its creepy horror movie vibes. And we can’t get enough of it.

3. Judah & The Lion Revival
Release Date: 6/10
Judah & The Lion found themselves trying to recapture the innocence of their youth on their new album Revival. Founding member Nate Zuercher departed the band last fall leaving frontman Judah Akers and guitarist Ben McDonald to carry on. If the songs released from the project so far are any indication, we’re in for a really solid album. With an appearance at Bonnaroo and a full fall headlining tour book, things are really kicking into gear for Judah & The Lion.

4. Jack Johnson Meet The Moonlight
Release Date: 6/24
Jack is back! Meet The Moonlight is his eighth studio and first in nearly five years. Chances are we can expect mellow beach vibes throughout the album. Which is what we’ve come to expect from a Jack Johnson release. And hey, if it ain’t broke, why fix it?

5. Coheed & Cambria Vaxis II: A Window of the Waking Mind
Release Date: 6/24
Originally slated for a May release, delays in vinyl production pushed Vaxis II: A Window of the Waking Mind back to a June release. We have a feeling it’ll be worth the wait based on what we’ve heard so far. The Limited Edition Box Set is worth checking out for any hardcore fan, these guys really went above and beyond to deliver a full listening experience.
