Florida rockers’ Kings County new single is out and it’s their strongest effort to date. “Equilibrium” is a blistering up-tempo rock track that is sure to please not only their dedicated fanbase but fans of hard rock in general. Heavy guitar riffs coupled with deep lyrics and a soaring chorus are the recipe for success here.
The band has experienced a steady rise over the 18 months. They’ve garnered more than a million views on YouTube for their breakout track “Bleed These Tears“. That’s in addition to the hundreds of thousands of streams to complement those efforts.
Kings County consists of Dexter on vocals and bass. Steve Bell and Bill Kania play guitar with Joe Lopez holding it down behind the drum kit. The band collaborated with producer/engineer Chuck Alkazian (Pop Evil, Tantric) at Pearl Sound Studios on “Equilibrium” and he’s delivered once again.
Finding Balance With “Equilibrium”
When asked about the song, Dexter had this to say, “our newest single stresses what we all look to achieve, a constant balance in our life, our minds, and our souls. It’s an internal and chemical reaction between all that’s pure and dismayed. “Equilibrium” is an auditory darkest before the dawn and rise above the ashes.”
We had a chance to catch up with Kings County frontman Rob Dexter, you can check out that interview here. Check out the lyrics and video below. Lyrics
Rise up beaten down you’re bitter
No truth in lies can ease the pain
So get it right
Reach out and touch the sky
Just when you think you got the solution
I think you better try.
You better try it again, again
You need to see the light
Everything’s alright, nothing’s right
Don’t wanna become the enemy
Everything’s alright, nothing’s right
I never wanna be – It’s Equilibrium
Fall down beside yourself in splinters
The balance you once knew is not the same
A virtual suicide
You’re spiraling down there’s no way out
You’re drowning now and you’re left in doubt
You need to get it right
You better try it again, again
You need to see the light
CHORUS
It’s an internal chemical reaction
Between all, that’s good and dismayed
A trail of tears fall down threw the window
All shattered, shattered
It’s all over you, but it’s alright
It’s all over you, but it’s alright
Start to get the feeling and ah
It’s all over you
Start to get the feeling and ah
But it’s alright
Start to get the feeling and ah
It’s all over you
Start to get the feeling and ah
But it’s alright
