Rockers Sons of Silver are gearing up for the release of a new EP. Word has just surfaced that they’ll be releasing a new single and music video on February 4th. “Who’s Gonna Stop Us” will be featured on the new EP Ordinary Sex Appeal set to be released later this year. In the meantime, they’re paying tribute to a group that needs no introduction, The Band.
Their cover of the classic “Life Is A Carnival” quickly racked out more than 100,000 views across YouTube and Facebook.
We’re big fans of The Band. Not only have they influenced us, directly, they’ve also been a major influence on many of our other heroes. Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and Neil Young; the list could go on and on. We wanted to pay a humble tribute on the 50th anniversary of Cahoots with our cover of “Life Is A Carnival”.
Pete Argyropoulous – Sons of Silver frontman
Los Angeles-based Sons of Silver are a true rock and roll band and paid proper tribute to one of America’s most influential bands. In fact, they earned a nod of approval from The Band guitarist Robbie Robertson himself in the comment feed on the video.
But when it comes to original music that’s where the band is their best. Their 2020 release Doomsday Noises was released to much critical acclaim. The first single from Ordinary Sex Appeal “Hesitate” is out now and just recently passed the impressive 400,000 view mark on YouTube.
