On Repeat: The Intoxicating Feeling of Twenty One Pilots

When I was twelve, I really started to get into music. I started feeling it more than hearing it - emotions I didn't quite understand stirring in my chest, movement pulled from me by the chords and verses. I felt a connection to the artists I chose to put on, an invisible string tying them to me, tethered through relation. With that said, the first “alternative” band I got into was none other than Twenty One Pilots. The Intoxicating Feeling of Twenty One Pilots - A Reflection I used to have this app called Songza and that’s where I played my music from. On the app, there were playlists similar to Spotify that were sorted by genre or mood, resetting every day. I put one on shuffle, started cleaning my room, and let the music take me away. The first song was "Stressed Out" by Twen...

7 Rock Videos With More Than A Billion Views On YouTube

Audioslave's "Like A Stone" is the latest rock video to pass the coveted one billion view mark on YouTube. The last video that received a good deal of fanfare in marking the achievement was Evanescence with "Bring Me To Life". Fronted by Soundgarden's Chris Cornell and featuring Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk of Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave burst onto the scene in 2002 with their self titled album. The album would go on to sell more than three million copies and features "Show Me How To Live", "Cochise" and the breakout hit "Like A Stone". The band would go on to release two more albums before Cornell left the group in 2007. Audioslave reunited in 2017 and just as the possibility of more music from the talented foursome seemed like a reality, Chris Cornell passed...

The Blue Stones Announce Coast To Coast Tour

In their highly anticipated return to the road, The Blue Stones have announced a big summer tour that will visit cities and towns coast to coast. Hidden Gems is their second full-length release and you can expect to hear plenty of music from that and their debut album Black Holes. The Blue Stones are a dynamic rock and roll duo. The full sound coming from guitarist Tarek Jafar and Justin Tessier can be deceiving. Mainly because it sounds like there are twice as many if not more people in the group. On Hidden Gems, they teamed with Mutemath frontman Paul Meany. Sure, his band is awesome but he's gained an immense amount of respect in recent years as a producer too. Most notably for his work with Twenty One Pilots on their Trench album as well as the one-off single "Level of Concern...

Next, we have 'RSD First' which are titles that will hit the indie shops first but could later be released via other retailers or online at some point. Next up there is the 'Small Run/R...

Twenty One Pilots Return With ‘Shy Away’, New Album Announcement

Twenty One Pilots started teasing a new release earlier this year and we just got the payoff. 'Shy Away' is the first single from their new album Scaled and Icy. You can put May 21 on your calendar for the release and a live stream performance from the band. Tickets are on sale now and the experience starts at 8 PM EST. You can secure your passes now via their website and start at $20. Scaled and Icy is the band's first album release since 2017s Trench. The band did treat us to the pandemic-inspired single 'Level of Concern' last year. The video for 'Shy Away' was directed by Miles Cable and A.J. Favicchio and lays it on pretty heavy with the 80s vibes. And that's ok, we're feeling it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sO-Y1Zbft4 LYRICS When I get home,You better not be ...
