Adams Traktor Drops Optimistic New Single “You Found A Way”

The new single from Adams Traktor is a bit of a departure from their previous work. "You Found A Way" finds songwriter JR Smith switching it up from the darker lyrics present on previous songs. Instead, the track is more of an upbeat love song. It combines elements of rock, pop, and even a hint of some 80s era synth. Adams Traktor is a project formed by JR Smith who is originally from Seattle. While from the west coast, he has called Europe home for more than two decades. Having worked in the technology field, music has always been a major part of his existence. According to an article in Vogue, he went for a five-month job and up staying. Smith's goal with Adam's Traktor is to explore and take alternative rock music to another level. On "You Found A Way" he taps into his own life ...

Release Radar’s Greatest Hits, Vol 3: 2021 Favorites & 2022’s Most Wanted (Saint Slumber, Mayko, THE HARA)

The last few months have introduced us all to some incredible music, I know. However, there are few artists who captivated me the way that Saint Slumber, Mayko & THE HARA have. Ever. So, if you take my advice at any point this year, here are three artists that I really need you to check out real quick. Trust me, it'll be well worth it. While there will be links and embeds galore for you to explore, here is a Spotify playlist with selections from all three for you to start out with: 2021's Winner: Saint Slumber's EP, how to lose your self. I’d honestly be really sad for you if you missed Saint Slumber’s late-December release last year. That is why I’m telling you about it now! :) Because how to lose your self is the best EP I heard in all ...

Sound on Sound Festival is set to take place on September 24 and 25. Dave Matthews + Tim Reynolds, The Lumineers, and Stevie Nicks will headline with a deep lineup to compliment them. For anyone who attended the Gathering of the Vibes festival, the venue will be familiar. The legendary jam-band festival took place there for many years. Unfortunately, the long-running concert ceased after celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2015. Having attended many 'Vibes', this music fan wholeheartedly endorses Seaside Park. [Interview] Shut Up & Play Some Pop Punk: A Chat with Mikei Gray of The Frst

Given the fact that that the When We Were Young festival sold out in mere hours (and now has not only a 2nd, but a 3rd date), it shouldn't be surprising that pop punk is here to stay. It certainly doesn't surprise Mikei Gray of The Frst, whose latest single, "Pop Punk Song", captures the mood of an entire generation in a simple, yet catchy way.   So, to quote The Frst, allow me to "shut the fuck up and play some pop punk" for you: "Pop Punk Song" by The Frst: streaming now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P21z4WWp5w4&feature=youtu.be My favorite thing about The Frst's "Pop Punk Song" is that while it's got that catchy, cathartic chorus that's just begging to be screamed at a show, it's also campy and self-aware. At first, I...

Eddie Vedder Confronts Loss On Heartfelt New Single “Brother The Cloud”

Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder is set to release a new solo album in February and his latest single tackles a very difficult subject, the loss of a loved one. In this case, he has experienced multiple tragedies in recent years. The unexpected death of his half-brother Chris in 2017 affected him deeply. That, in addition to the loss of Cornell a year later as discussed in a 2020 Howard Stern interview has left him reeling. Vedder's new album Earthlings drops on February 11. Not only does the album feature a number of legends, the band he's taking on the road features some familiar characters. Billboard reports collaborations with the likes of Elton John, Stevie Wonder, and Ringo Starr can be expected. https://twitter.com/PearlJam/status/1482052688368087052 On Tour The live band su...

Jack White Debuts Heartfelt New Single & Music Video For “Love Is Selfish”

Jack White is as versatile as they come. One minute loud and raucous, the next quiet and introspective. He's set to have a productive year with two solo albums slated for release in 2022. After coming out hard with the first single "Taking Me Back" from his new album Fear of the Dawn (due in April), "Love Is Selfish" puts his softer side on display. The latter of which will be featured on his planned summer release, Entering Heaven Alive. This is the kind of material I'm looking for from White. Sure he's most often at his best with loud distorted guitars but he's got a softer side. 'Love Is Selfish' is just him and his guitar with some light percussion in the background to help keep the train on the tracks. You can check it out below after its debut or on your favorite streaming platf...
