Blue October Frontman To Make Feature Film Debut

Blue October frontman Justin Furstenfeld will make his feature film debut this fall. Section 8 starring Scott Adkins, Dermot Mulroney, Dolph Lundgren and Mickey Rourke will debut in theatres and on AMC+ on September 23rd. Section 8 Due September 23rd Playing a villain by the name of Ajax Abernathy, the film tells the story of a former soldier who avenges the murder of his family and is sent to prison. The character, Leonard Locke, played by Adkins is sprung from prison by a shady government agency after being recruited to join the entity. Blue October has released the rousing title track from their upcoming double album Spinning The Truth Around. Part one will be released on October 14th with part two arriving in early 2023. The band will spend the next five months on the road with a busy tour schedule supporting the release. After several pandemic-related delays, their long-awaited tour with the Goo Goo Dolls is underway. From there they'll head out on a fall headlining tour in October to close out the year. Blue October Fall Tour Dates Announced

An initial run of Blue October fall tour dates has been announced. If your city isn't on the list, don't fret. Additional shows are expected to be announced sometime soon. In the meantime, pre-sales are underway and VIP packages are now available. This new tour follows a summer run of concerts performing with Goo Goo Dolls. A collaboration that was supposed to happen in 2020, was rescheduled until 2021 and eventually moved to the summer of 2022 for obvious reasons. The tour kicks off July 15th in Idaho and will run through September 24th in Buffalo. Closing night will be a big hometown show for the Goo Goo Dolls. Blue October Announce Full Band Live Stream Featuring Singles Collection

Blue October will be getting together for the first full-band live stream of the year and is preparing quite a setlist. They intend to break out nothing but the best material from over the past two decades. You can expect to hear songs from 1998's The Answers all the way up to their latest effort, 2020's This Is What I Live For which featured the popular singles 'Oh My My' and 'Moving On'. A Blue October documentary debuted in May of last year right at the height of the pandemic and offers an inside look at the bands' history.
