Big Deep Set for Live Debut at Bearsville Theater in Woodstock

A new band is emerging from Woodstock, and its first show will happen close to home. Big Deep will make its live debut on Saturday, September 5, at Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, New York. The new project brings together former Spafford bassist Jordan Fairless and New York guitarist Luke Schwartz. The lineup also features Kevin Cooper on keys and PJ Holaday on drums. Big Deep describes its sound as a blend of indie rock, rich melodies, expansive grooves, and a genre-defying spirit. Fairless is well known to fans of the jam scene through his time with Spafford. Karina Rykman Sets ‘Late Checkout’ Album Release and Webster Hall Celebration

Karina Rykman will release her second studio album, Late Checkout, on September 25 through Karina Rykman/High Rotation Records. The 12-track album follows her 2023 debut, Joyride. The latest preview from the album is “Shoegaze Summer,” which follows previously released singles “Easy Rider” and the title track, “Late Checkout.” The new album was recorded with longtime collaborator Gabe Monro at Trey Anastasio’s The Barn in Westford, Vermont, and DFA Studios in New York City. “Shoegaze Summer” was developed with Rykman’s bandmates Adam November and Chris Corsico during a 72-hour writing session in 2024. “It’s catchy and heavy.
