Junket Release Follow-up Single ‘Embers To Ashes’

New York-based alt-rockers Junket has just launched a smoldering follow-up single in the form of ‘Embers To Ashes’ from their new Make Waves EP. The track comes on the heels of the successful ‘Red Handed’ release, a song inspired by the popular SHOWTIME show ‘Dexter’.

Junket is made up of vocalist Chris Wicher, guitarist Michael Miller, bassist Kyle Hallenbeck, and drummer Chad Babcock. All hailing from Orange County, New York the band is a tight-knit group.

According to a recent press release, Wicher states the song is ‘…about a relationship between two people who have an irrational fear of being alone but stay together despite all the reasons why they shouldn’t. The relationship may have started out strong like a roaring fire, but the honeymoon phase fizzled.

Junket was able to recently take the stage publicly together for the first time in more than a year due to the onset of the pandemic. So keep your eyes and ears peeled for more show announcements in the near future.

‘Embers To Ashes’ was produced by Sean-Paul Pillsworth at Nada Studios in Orange County, New York, and is now streaming on your favorite music platform.

Lyrics:

‘Embers to Ashes’

Verse 1:
Let’s start out simple here
A cloud hangs overall we know
It’s not going anywhere
Foreshadowing how we fall

Oh, what a sight to see
This perfect picture’s dead & gone
A call for clarity
What have we done?

What have we done?

I feel my heart explode
A fear I can’t let go
Number one reason it’s my fault
I know it’s worth
It’s weight in gold
Verbal bullets from my arsenal

Verse 2:
Where do we go from here?
I’d really hate to waste our time, and I
Suggest we face our fears and…
Best cut all ties

(We are) only…a moment in time
A temporary
(Escape) from our…infinite worries

I feel my heart explode
A fear I can’t let go
Number one reason it’s my fault
I know it’s worth
It’s weight in gold
Verbal bullets from my arsenal

I can’t remember how it all went down
Seemed doomed from the beginning, oh
From embers to ashes, we lost control
Now strangers at the end,
We’ll find another way back home
We’ll find another way back home

We’ll find another way!

I feel my heart explode
A fear I can’t let go
Number one reason it’s my fault
I know it’s worth
Its weight in gold
Verbal bullets from my arsenal
