Rockers Sick Puppies have just released a high-octane cover song in collaboration with ESPN and the NHL. The cover of “Ready Steady Go” is featured in a new hockey promo that can be seen through the end of the year. We’ll share it below so you know what to look for.
It’s the first new material from the band since the 2016 release of Fury. Good news for Sick Puppies fans, while we don’t have an official release date, we will be seeing a new album from them in 2023. When asked about the opportunity to work with ESPN on the Paul Oakenfold cover, the band had this to say.
For those who haven’t heard Paul Oakenfold’s song “Ready Steady Go”, it’s a classic tune. When the opportunity came to be able to put our spin on it, it was a no brainer! The NHL screams fast, aggressive and punchy rock, so we took that energy and recorded it with that attitude. ESPN brings the rock! We are in good company with their exceptional music team and can’t wait to watch this hockey season unfold”.

On Tour
Earlier this year it was announced that Emma would be joining Evanescense on bass. She’s spent the past few months on the road with the band but that doesn’t mean we won’t be seeing Sick Puppies on the tour in the new year.
You can expect to see Sick Puppies at a number of North American music festivals in 2023. They’re expected to tour internationally as well. Visit the Sick Puppies website for more information or follow along on Instagram and Twitter for updates.
