Tarah Who? has teamed up with the talented London-based Brazilian group YUR MUM and the new single is available everywhere now. “Push Me” is the latest effort from Tarah Who? who are known for their unorthodox and non-conformist tone.
The track is a direct response to the 2020 Grammy Awards. Tarah couldn’t help but notice that the entire Rock category wasn’t even aired on the broadcast. The winners’ names just scrolled along the bottom of the screen with little fanfare.
The moment inspired Tarah to compose a song that sheds a light on the lack of representation of rock bands in the music industry at the moment. Especially female-fronted groups.
Using the power of sound and raw lyrics, Tarah Who? aims to shine a light on the situation and be a force for change.
Follow the band on Facebook and Twitter (or their website) for more song and concert updates.
“Push Me” Lyrics
Push me, you push me.
Chorus: There you have it,
You pushed me to the limit
You can’t just leave us out now
We came here to make a point.
The time has come to change the course
Mix things up a bit
Make room, ‘coz here we come.
Push me to want it more
You push me to raise my voice
You push me to dare and dream
You push me… We’re insatiable.
There you have it
You pushed me to the limit
There you have it
Taking more than you’re giving.
We believe and we will achieve
All that you’ve made us wish for
Yes, for ourselves, but even more
to revive the American dream.
You Push me to want it more
You push me to raise my voice
You push me to dare and dream
You push me… We’re insatiable.
Let’s break it down.
Here we come screaming
Hear us roar, tonight everything changes
Hear us out. aren’t we loud?
When tomorrow comes, no one will see us the same.
