There are way more than seven albums coming out over the next few months. But we don’t have the time to cover them all, so here are our top seven to keep your eyes out for in the summer of 2021.
7. Eve 6 ‘Grim Value’
Eve 6 return with a new EP on June 25, their first album of new material since 2012’s Speak In Code.
6. Yola ‘Stand For Myself’
The uber talented Yola just released her latest single ‘Stand For Myself’. The track is the title cut from her new album due July 30.
5. Modest Mouse ‘The Golden Casket’
Indie alt-rockers Modest Mouse is set to release their new album The Golden Casket on June 25. ‘Leave A Light On’ is the first material we’re getting from the record and we like where this is heading.
4. Bleachers ‘
You’re doing something right when Bruce Springsteen drops in to perform on a song you wrote. Jack Antonoff’s Bleachers somehow just pulled off a ‘Boss’ cameo. Their new album will be released publicly on July 30.
3. Leon Bridges ‘Gold-Diggers Sound’
The soulful Leon Bridges is gearing up for the release of his new album ‘Gold Diggers Sound’, due July 23. The lead single ‘Motorbike’ already has more than 1.3 million views on YouTube.
2. Billie Eilish ‘Happier Than Ever’
Despite some fan grumbling about ticket prices on her recently announced tour, Billie Eilish is poised to have a big summer with the release of her new album ‘Happier Than Ever’. She’d probably be at number one if not for a legend…
1. Prince ‘Welcome 2 America’
Prince tragically passed away more than five years ago but we’re getting a previously unheard collection of songs from an all time legend. Largely recorded in 2010, Prince shelved the project and never released it to the public. That all changes July 30 when the album drops.
