Kingston’s own progressive rock band ‘3’ will reunite for a special hometown performance at Keegan Ales on Saturday, August 23rd at 7 p.m.
Formed in the early 1990s, the band quickly rose from local stages to international recognition, earning a spot on the main stage at Woodstock ’94 before signing record deals with Universal, Planet Noise, and Metal Blade Records. Over the years, ‘the band ‘3’ built a reputation as a must-see live act, touring across the U.S., Europe, Australia, and Japan while sharing stages with acts as varied as Dream Theater, Opeth, Coheed and Cambria, Porcupine Tree, Heart, and Scorpions.
A New Beginning…
Known for their uncompromising musicianship and fiercely loyal fanbase, the talented outfit last toured in 2013 before frontman Joey Eppard stepped away to focus on family during an especially difficult decade. With resilience at the center of his journey, Eppard has returned to songwriting in recent years, fueled by support from fans on Patreon and a renewed creative spark.
The Keegan Ales show marks a new chapter for “3”, featuring original members alongside bassist Chris Heitzman, who joins the lineup for this latest era. For longtime fans, it’s a chance to reconnect with a band whose music has always thrived on honesty, emotion, and virtuosic performance.
Tickets are available directly through Keegan Ales in Kingston, NY, and given the band’s history and loyal following, the event is expected to draw both local fans and those traveling in for the occasion.
