Listen: Lara Hope’s New Single New Single “By The Fire”

Lara Hope & the Ark-Tones have released a reflective new single called “By The Fire”. The moody yet uplifting folk song was engineered and co-produced by John Naclario at Nada Recording Studios in New York.

The track features special guests James Felice of the Felice Brothers on accordion and Rose Rion Porco on cello and violin. This is the perfect addition to your Americana and folk playlists just in time for warmer weather’s arrival.

Hope had this to say about “By The Fire.”

It’s a song about the joy of spending time with friends and loved ones, basking in the glow and warmth of a fire. It’s about finding a way to come together, even when the world has made it challenging.

Lara Hope & The Ark-Tones On The Road

The band has toured extensively, both in Europe and in the US, and has recently shared the stage with musical heroes like Joan Jett, The Brian Setzer Orchestra, The Blasters, and the Reverend Horton Heat.

You can catch them at a variety of upcoming shows, including at the City of Kingston’s 9th Annual Earth Fair, and the Red, Hot, & Blue Rockabilly Weekend 2023 in Gananoque, Canada. The band is a must-see for fans of Americana, rock, and roots music. Their high-energy performances are not to be missed.

Getting To Know The Band

The Ark-Tones sprouted in 2012 through the combination of Hopes’s previous band, The Champtones, and upright bassist Matt Goldpaugh’s global psychobilly outfit, The Arkhams. They’ve continued to thrive and evolve ever since.

Hope explains in their bio that they are a new take on an old sound. Their vibe has been described as ‘pan-Americana.’ In other words, they use many elements of early rock and roots music as a creative launchpad. Where it goes from there is anyone’s guess. They focus on innovation because while they appreciate old music, they want to walk their own path when it comes to writing new songs.

Lara Hope & the Ark-Tones have been making waves in the music industry for a while now. They’re officially a band to keep your eyes (and ears) on in 2023 and beyond.
