Liam Gallagher Releases New Single “Better Days”

The iconic Liam Gallagher has an eagerly awaited new solo album on the way. His new single “Better Days” just dropped and has the vibe and feel of an instant classic.

Gallagher collaborated with Grammy-winning Andrew Wyatt and Michael Tighe on writing the track. Produced by Wyatt along with Greg Kurstin (Adele, Sir Paul McCartney), they spiced things up with Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs featured on guitar.

The music video features Gallagher and band on top of the Midland Hotel in Manchester, England. The cinematic performance video gets increasingly psychadelic as the sky slowly starting to swirl. The video is a clear nod to the Beatles legendary Apple Corps show. Directed by Paul Dugdale, he’s in good company having worked previously with the likes of The Rolling Stones, Adele, Taylor Swift and Coldplay.

“Better Days” Benefits Warchild Charity

UK proceeds from “Better Days” will benefit Warchild. The charity aims to protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children living through conflict. Their goal is to promote a safer future for children all over the world.

At this point it doesn’t look like we’re going to get the Oasis reunion we’re all pining for. But that’s ok. Perhaps it’ll happen when we’re least expecting it. For now, “Better Days” will certainly scratch that itch for anyone looking for that nostalgic feel. While the song certainly has 90s influences, there’s a modern sesibility to it that makes it feel fresh yet familiar.

C’Mon You Know Due May 27th

Gallaghers new album is set for a May 27th release and features a collaboration with Dave Grohl on “Everything’s Electric“. Co-written by Grohl and Kurstin, the song served as the first single off the album having been released in early March.

C’Mon You Know is the third solo album for the former Oasis frontman. As You Were was released in 2017 and was followed up with Why Me? Why Not in 2019.
