Two Acts That Will See a Bump In Popularity After 2021 Grammy Performances

The 63rd annual Grammy Awards took place Sunday night and winners were announced in each of the night's 83 categories. Taylor Swift took home the award for Album of the Year for Folklore while Billie Eilish won Record of the Year for 'Everything I Wanted'. The Trevor Noah hosted event included performances by everyone from Post Malone to Chris Martin of Coldplay. But there were two performances in particular that elevated both acts. They were up for two awards and while they didn't win, their performance of 'Colors' certainly turned some heads. The debut of Bruno Mars, Anderson. Orange County Rockers Junket Return To Action With ‘Red Handed’

It's the first single in 10 years for Orange County's Junket and it's well worth the wait. 'Red Handed' combines introspective melodies with intense layers of sound and just maybe the edge we need right now. The song is inspired by a popular Showtime Classic that just so happens to be making a comeback later this year. Dexter will return for a limited run but Junket's time is now. Made up of seasoned musicians Chris Wicher (vocals), Michael Miller (guitar), Kyle Hallenbeck (bass), and Chad Babcock (drums), they have channeled the spirit of actor Michael C. Hall on 'Red Handed'. According to frontman Wicher, although the song is inspired by the show, 'there’s enough ambiguity for any listener to come up with his or her own meaning that’s relatable to their lives'. 'Red Handed' was p...

Canceled in 2020 as a result of COVID-19 they're looking to make a roaring comeback September 17-19. The festival takes place over an 18 block area in downtown Las Vegas. Three Side Gigs For Travis Barker That Have Taken His Career To The Next Level

Travis Barker has been very busy outside of his day job with Blink 182 over the past year. He's been working with hip-hop artists, signing talent to his new record label, and producing hit records. As one of the most respected drummers on the scene, he's putting his clout to good use opening doors for a new generation of talent. His career has gone to a new level over the last year with room still left to grow. In April he showed up with Post Malone at the much-talked-about Nirvana tribute for COVID-19 relief. Barker along with Malone, bassist Brian Lee and guitarist Nick Mack raised more than $500,000 for those in need according to CNN. Telefunken Elektroakustik Celebrates 20 Years

Connecticut-based Telefunken Elektroakustik marks 20 years in business in the US after reviving the high-end microphone brand around since 1903. Owned and operated by Toni Fishman, he acquired the rights to the name and iconic diamond logo in 2001 after purchasing a mic for his recording studio sometime the year before. According to a recent press release, the original ELA M 251 he bought needed a new polar pattern switch, a common issue with that type of microphone. When Fishman was able to reverse engineer the component he was able to provide a fix for other users. From there he ambitiously set out to remake the entire microphone and over the next two years meticulously recreated the parts needed to start producing the mic with his growing team. HeIsTheArtist Drops New Single ‘Virgin’

HeIsTheArtist has a new powerful single, "Virgin" out now. The new song from the American Christian singer-songwriter from Central Islip, NY., expands the topic of temptation that was previously the center topic of his single, "The Snake Charmer" and his EP Adam & Eve. HeIsTheArtist says, 'Virgin' delves into the experience of a Catholic Nun taking a vow of abstinence and how difficult that is while living in a society where the temptation of sex is everywhere. The lyrics “It's you I like, it’s not me” references the promise that nuns make to rid themselves of all vanity in order to be able to focus fully on God’s work." HeIsTheArtist is influenced by the music of Kim Burrell, Carrie Underwood, Prince, and Michael Jackson. He considers himself an eclectic artist who merges differ...

Todays Musicians Should Consider Releasing Music As NFTs

First of all, what is an NFT and how can it benefit bands and musicians on the scene today? NFT stands for non-fungible token and it's all the rage at the moment. When you purchase a digital form of collectible whether it's music, art, or even a comic book, because ownership is recorded on a blockchain, each copy is unique and tied to the person who purchased the digital item. What this prevents is the pirating of any type of media sold as an NFT by the artist. According to Rolling Stone, Kings of Leon is the first high-profile act to release a full album as an NFT. Set to be released on Friday When You See Yourself is the band's first new music since the October 2016 release of Walls. The album will be available through all the conventional channels but it's the release through NFT sit...

The Long Wait For New Offspring Music Is Officially Over

Rumors have been swirling about a new album from The Offspring for nearly three years. The wait has come to an end with the release of the up-tempo 'Let The Bad Times Roll'. Along with the release of the new single, the full album is set for an April 16 release. The genre bending punk rockers formed in the mid-80s but it wasn't until their 1994 breakthrough album Smash did they become a near house hold name. Recent years have seen the band sell off the rights to their music for a cool $30 million and the unfortunate departure of longtime bassist Greg K. Dexter and Noodles will carry the band into their very respectable fifth decade of making music. They announced last year that the album was done and that they were looking for the right record label to release it to the public. ...
