Coheed & Cambria continue to showcase their dynamic range as a band. They’re known for their high-energy electric progressive rock and roll shows. But there’s a softer side. And it’s on full display in the new video they’ve just released featuring an acoustic cover of the classic Kiss song “Love Gun”.
The black and white video was filmed and edited by Ernie Falconer. The video is a must-watch for fans or anyone just discovering their music. Coheed recently passed the one million view mark on their popular “Shoulders” video on YouTube. They’ve been riding high lately on the success of their latest single “The Liars Club”. It’s all leading up to the release of the highly anticipated new album Vaxis II: A Window of the Waking Mind on June 24th. The release date has been pushed back due to vinyl production issues.
The special limited edition set of the new record features all kinds of goodies. For example, a custom speaker, a 96-page hardcover book, and a whole lot more. The pre-order is still underway but supplies are limited. So as they say, act now or forever hold your peace. Or you can grossly overpay after the fact on a secondary site eCommerce site, but we don’t recommend doing that at all.
Big Summer Plans
Coheed & Cambria has been a popular draw since its formation in the mid-90s. However, in recent years they’ve seen crowd sizes swell (not counting the pandemic, of course). They treated fans this past winter to The Great Destroyer Tour. They did a nationwide run of smaller intimate clubs.
This served as a great warmup to their massive summer tour that is set to kick off July 12th in Arizona and runs through August 17th in Oregon. Tickets and merch are still available and can be found here.
Stream your favorite Coheed & Cambria songs on your preferred platform but don’t sleep on the physical release of the new album in May. You can keep updated by visiting their website or by following along on your favorite social media platform. They’ve been stepping it up on Tik Tok lately too.
