The Von Tramps is an up-and-coming punk rock band formed out of Minneapolis. One doesn’t often immediately associate punk rock with the Twin Cities. But if The Von Tramps have their way, that could all change.
After 2018s successful debut album The Future is Female and the follow-up EP Sun’s Out: Strung Out!, they’ve come roaring back with 12 high-energy tracks on GO. The Von Tramps pack a real punch on this new concept album. Jenna Enemy’s powerful vocals are complimented by Chelsea Oxborough’s guitar playing and pounding bass from Krissandra Anfinson.
Stand-out tracks include the new single “Live Fast” which can be seen & heard below. We find ourselves gravitating to the title track and we’re hearing hints of early No Doubt on “Your House“. So yes, this album is worth diving in deeper if you’re looking for some springtime pop-punk jams.
Recorded, Mixed & Mastered
GO was recorded and mixed in Fort Collins by respected producer and musician Dustin Phillips. The Von Tramps brought the music home to Minneapolis to be mastered by Bruce Templeton of Microphonic Mastering.
GO is all about momentum. Coming out of the pandemic, all we could think about was how far we could go, when we could go. By being forced into a break from our everyday lives we were also forced to reflect on it; and ultimately found the mundane can trap your soul, if you’re not careful.
