In the accompanying video, we find Billie Joe Armstrong navigating the consequences of a wild night. The footage embodies the lyrics’ brutally honest reflection on addiction and mental health struggles. “‘Dilemma’ was one of those songs that was kind of easy to write because it was so personal to me,” Armstrong shares. The track explores the pain that arises from witnessing the challenges faced by peers dealing with addiction and mental illness, adding another layer to the band’s already introspective repertoire.

The track follows the success of their previously released singles, “The American Dream Is Killing Me” and “Look Ma, No Brains!” Green Day’s unapologetic exploration of vulnerable subjects continues to resonate with fans new and old.

Saviors, the forthcoming album, promises to be another milestone in Green Day’s illustrious career. The new material was recorded in both London and Los Angeles. The album is a collaboration with Grammy-winning producer Rob Cavallo, known for his work on iconic Green Day albums like “Dookie” and “American Idiot.” As the record drops just ahead of the 30th anniversary of “Dookie,” the band has already treated fans to a deluxe edition and a surprise show in Las Vegas, performing the classic album in its entirety to a sold-out crowd.
