Flanigan has been touring the country for the better part of the past decade. He’s developed a dedicated fanbase that has been with him every step of the way. It was a performance in Nashville as the pandemic was setting in that opened the door to a new chapter. He’d go on to join Team Blake on NBC’s The Voice. He earned a third-place finish on the popular singing competition television show. Shelton took him under his wing and is featured on vocals on “Grow Up”.

Fast forward to today and the release of his new music video. According to a recent press release, the video was directed by Vincent Peone and captures Flanigan’s vision of “feeling young no matter what age you are”. Having grown up in the same upstate New York town, the duo relished the opportunity to work together.

Small Town Success Story

“Ian is the ultimate small town success story, not to mention a wonderful human being. I jumped at the opportunity to collaborate with him and craft a story that felt both personal and universal to pair with this epic anthem.”

Vincent Peone

The video, starring Eric Roberts (King of the Gypsies, Runaway Train, The Dark Knight) has the feel of a short film. Roberts’ character is at the center of a great escape. The video opens on a dated nursing home focusing on the mundane tasks of each resident. Watch below to see the creative vision come to life.
