Andrew O’Grady and the team at Mental Health America of Dutchess County put together one terrific evening at the Bardavon on Tuesday. Bringing this collection of artists to Poughkeepsie was a major accomplishment for an organization already doing essential work throughout the community. MHA deserves tremendous credit for the show and continued support for the work that brought everyone together. Supporting Mental Health Services Across Dutchess County Mental Health America of Dutchess County has served the community since 1955, helping individuals, families and veterans get the support they need. New York Pawpaw Festival Brings Music, Farming and Community to Magic Forest Farm

The New York Pawpaw Festival was held September 26 and 27 at Magic Forest Farm in Coeymans Hollow. #981KZE spent the weekend there with the KZE Kamper, recording performances and covering a festival that brought together live music, agriculture, permaculture, food, workshops and the pawpaw itself. More Than a Music Festival George Adler put a tremendous amount of work into the festival, and his idea for the event went well beyond simply putting bands on a stage for a weekend. George has talked about wanting his events to be places where people can meet, learn and grow, and the Pawpaw Festival reflected that throughout the property. Nothing says Woodstock weekend quite like breaking an axle on the way to Yasgur’s Farm. That was how my Saturday started. I was headed to Bethel with the KZE Kamper loaded with enough broadcast and recording gear to make turning around not much of an option when the axle decided it had other plans. Fortunately, this is where the music community tends to show what it is made of. Lee Mazzola and Tim Craig from Mazzstock jumped in and helped get me back up and running.
