Iconic EDM artist The Crystal Method will debut a new single on national television Monday night. Joined by members of Nine Inch Nails, Rammstein and A Perfect Circle, “Watch Me Now” will be performed on NBC’s American Song Contest sometime after 8PM ET.

The Crystal Method aka Scott Kirkland will be representing the state of Nevada. He will be joined by Danny Lohner (guitar), Hannah van der Molen (bass), and Joe Letz (drums). KODA is featured on lead vocals with VAAAL rounding out the lineup (percussion, keys).

Founded in the early 90s out of Las Vegas, The Crystal Method is one of America’s most successful and long running electronic music acts. Their debut album Vegas went platnum in 1997 and they’ve been releasing new albums every few years, since. They began as a duo and in 2017 founding member Ken Jordan retired from the music business.

New Album The Trip Out

The Trip Out will be the first new Crystal Method album since 2018s The Trip Home. The latter being Kirklands first release as a solo artist. “Watch Me Now” is the second single released from the new project after “Post Punk” featuring Hyper and Iggy Pop dropped earlier this month.

NBC’s American Song Contest is hosted by Snoop Dogg and Kelly Clarkson. The show is based on the popular Eurovision Song Contest. The original is viewed by over 200 million people yearly according to a recent press release. The show focuses on orginal music as opposed to the cover songs that are featured on many other singing competitions.

Artists represent each of the 50 states, five U.S. territories and Washington D.C. Performers compete over three rounds with viewers votes determining the final winner. The qualifying rounds are followed by the Semi-Finals and ultimately the winner will be crowned on the Grand Final.
