This marks Squeeze’s return to the U.S. after a memorable North American tour alongside Hall & Oates in 2021. Joining them on the road will be the highly acclaimed, The Psychedelic Furs. Tickets for the tour will go on sale on Friday, May 19th.

In 1978, Squeeze burst onto the U.K. music scene with a three-song E.P. They secured a record deal with A&M Records which led to the release of their debut self-titled album. The groundbreaking LP featured catchy songwriting hooks and melodies reminiscent of the 1960s British Invasion.

Impact In America

From there, Squeeze captured the hearts of American listeners in 1981 with their classic hits “Tempted,” “Hourglass,” and others from their East Side Story album. After disbanding in 1999, Squeeze reunited in 2007 and has since released three new albums: “Spot the Difference” (2010), “Cradle to the Grave” (2015), and “The Knowledge” (2017).

In 2022, they released the “Food for Thought” E.P., featuring a new song, two reimagined tracks, and three exclusive live recordings. All proceeds from the digital E.P. support independent U.K. Food Banks.

The current lineup of Squeeze includes Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, alongside keyboardist Stephen Large, drummer Simon Hanson, percussionist/backing vocalist Steve Smith, pedal/lap steel guitarist Melvin Duffy, and Owen Biddle (former bassist for The Roots).

The Psychedelic Furs, led by vocalist and songwriter Richard Butler and his bass-playing brother Tim, have been prominent figures in the post-punk landscape for more than four decades. Upon formation in 1977, they quickly established themselves as one of the premier bands at college and alternative radio with hits like “Love My Way,” “Pretty In Pink,” and “Heaven”.

The Furs have released eight studio albums, along with compilations, a boxed set, and a live concert DVD, and even contributed to an iconic motion picture soundtrack. Their latest release, “Made Of Rain,” achieved their second-highest chart position in the U.K.
