5. Nickelback
They’ve had some massive hits but do they belong in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? Nickelback’s debut album Curb was released on May 15, 1996.
4. Fiona Apple
Fiona Apple’s debut album Tidal would see the release of six singles including the iconic ‘Criminal’. Released in 1996 it wouldn’t be until two years later that she’d take home a Grammy for the track.
3. Ghostface Killah
Legendary rapper Ghostface Killah first made a name for himself as a member of the Wu-Tang Clan. He released his debut solo album Ironman on October 26, 1996.

Better Living Through Chemistry was the debut album from Fatboy Slim and was released in September of 1996. Should Fatboy Slim make it to the Hall of Fame?

Arguably one of the most accomplished hip hop artists of all time, Eminem’s debut album Infinite was released November 12, 1996. It wouldn’t be until three years later on The Slim Shady LP that he got some help from a good doctor.
