Cyberpunk Vol 4 Instagram Announcements:
I’m quite excited at this opportunity to learn more about the world of NFTs. Some aspects of all this “crypto-NFT-web3-etc.” stuff still go over my head, I’m afraid.
But then again, it’s one thing to read about it all. One is bound to get lost in one way or another. It’s another thing entirely to experience what they have to offer in more of a firsthand sense. At least for me. I’m more of a first-hand learner.
This event commemorating the release of Cyberpunk Vol 4–a collection of NFTs–is going to make what feels like such a far-fetched, futuristic aspect of our present culture feel more immediate– and so much more real.
The thing I really admire about RANDOM GHOST’s party-planning vision is this notion of “THE COMING CYBER-DYSTOPIA” — I’m really excited to see how it all comes together “in 4D”, so to speak.
But what I’m most excited about is the music.
The Cyberpunk Vol 4 Musical Line-Up
Like, seriously, take a look at the line-up.
All these incredible folks in one place– it’s just insane, right?
It’s okay if you’re unfamiliar with some of the artists.
Here is your chance to get to know them before the party!

“Pictureplane has made his name circling the outer limits of pop culture in several mediums. The Brooklyn-based artist’s gallery works, shown both in the U.S. and abroad, collide familiar with fringe and hard lines with visceral spatter. His Alien Body clothing line serves up a stylized study of symbology, the occult, and societal decay. And his music—beautiful yet heavy, swirling wild strains of industrial dance, gothic hip-hop, and emotive New Age—treats electronics not as artificial, but as extensions of our analog selves.
After a decade thrashing the status quo, Egedy is not only kin to makers of lovely dark music everywhere, but a vital player in the global DIY community. He is a proud outsider, yes, but his tribe is legion and ever-growing. Pictureplane’s music has always explored a delicate tension. The producer born Travis Egedy has made music that exists at the porous borders of darkness and light, noise and melody, agony and ecstasy. With world building and emotion at the project’s core, Pictureplane has become a bellwether in a troubled world, surveying the gloom and straining for reasons to trudge onward. Somehow, he always does” (Spotify bio).
“Among the plethora of artists across witch house, wave, and experimental / industrial, Brothel is a stand out. His sound checks every one of those genre boxes and yet stands on its own; a distinct aesthetic on the cutting edge of something new.
Brothel appeals to a worldwide audience, having toured Russia, Europe and the United States multiple times” (Spotify bio).
“Feminist performance art collective and occasional punk band Pussy Riot made international headlines in 2012 after members were arrested and imprisoned for protesting the re-election of Russian president Vladimir Putin and perceived corruption in the Russian Orthodox church. The group formed in Moscow in August 2011 as an offshoot of the performance/street art group Voina, in response to government policies that discriminated against women.
A rotating amalgamation of about 11 members, Pussy Riot disguised themselves with pseudonyms and brightly colored dresses and balaclavas as they staged guerrilla-style performances in public spaces. […]
Pussy Riot attracted international attention after their February 2012 performance at Moscow’s Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, where they took to the altar for about 30 seconds and begged in a mock prayer for the Virgin Mary to take Putin out of power, leading to the arrest of members Maria Alyokhina, Yekaterina Samutsevich, and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, and the fleeing of an additional two members.
As of mid-August 2012, the three women were each sentenced to serve two years in a penal colony. The case’s combination of censorship and severe response by authorities compelled Russian allies like Garry Kasparov and international figures and organizations from Kathleen Hanna to Paul McCartney to Amnesty International to speak out in support of the collective but remaining free Pussy Riot members reiterated that the collective will never perform within the capitalist system of the music business, such as ticketed events.” ~ Chrysta Cherrie, Rovi (Spotify)
